Lesson 2
1 minute version…
1. In lesson 2 early in the lesson to start we started by creating a 1 minute short version of DNA. I honestly think we done that because as it’s a fairly long play and also there’s so many key event in the play it was a chance we could identify the main significant aspects of the play to get a clear understanding on the clear and priciest plot of the story.
2. I think by doing this it helped me allot as in my group we played different characters and as we was playing this character we had to get in the mind frame of this character and what’s good about doing this is we can take our own example to help us portray and understand the character better.as in that minute scene I was a bully it was nice to change my body language to suit that character.
3. I did notice some similarities amongst the groups such as:
· We all included the post man as even though he doesn’t appear in the scenes of the play he still is an important character.
· We all showed the important moments of the play clearly.
· You could tell by each character that played which role as who was more dominant – (mark) and e.g. who was Adam.
Postman- what is the importance of this character in the play?
The postman has a very important role in this play as even though he is never seen he’s is almost took on a journey with Phil imagination as he makes it up in his mind so we feel a part of his imagination. I also think he’s important because as he’s never seen in the scene he has a great impact on the other characters.
Roll on the walls
1. I think we created theses to show how on the outside e.g. Phil is portrayed as tough, easy going, relaxed guy on the out-side but on the inside he’s smart and he thinks a lot and has allot to say.
2. Something new I learnt about my character was that the reason why he’s quite is at home he’s voice isn’t listened to and his action aren’t notice and by our little scenes we made on the characters background story after roll on the walls helped us to understand why Phil so quite. I also learnt that Phil only open his mouth when he needs to say something important as when he talks he talks allot and carefully so the roll on the wall exercise made us think about when Phil not speaking what are the type of things he’s thinking.
